Rosslare Security is a modern and extremely reliable access control system.
It is extremely reliable and flexible. It is equally capable of meeting the security requirements of small installations comprising only a few doors or large installations with dozens or hundreds of access control points like doors, barriers, turnstiles etc.
The system software allows its user to manage centrally several installations in various locations, through a network.
Rosslare Security can connect to other security systems such as:
- Alarm systems
- CCTV & IP Video systems
- Number plate reading devices
- Turnstiles
Moreover, it can supply attendance data (Entry-Exit data) to Atermon Time Manager developed by Atermon Systems , offering a combination ofAccess Control and Time & Attendance Management features in a fully automated and fully reliable manner, where this is required.
The Rosslare Security software runs on Windows and uses the Microsoft SQL Server database.
Atermon Systems SA has substantial experience in Rosslare Security system installations. Atermon has carried out successfully numerous Rosslare system installations. Moreover, Rosslare Security can be automatically integrated with Atermon Time Manager, which is used by over 2,000 enterprises and organisations.
Rosslare access control consists of the following:
1. Access Controlreaders. We offer a wide range of Access Control readers able to meet all demands, such as:
- Indoor/outdoor RFID readers
- RFID and keyboard readers
- Biometric fingerprint readers
- Vandal-resistant readers
2. Special Access Controllers.
Rosslare access controllers are integrated control devices serving as intermediary devices between the Access Control readers and software. Depending on its type, each controller controls from 2 up to 8 Access Control readers. All access rights information (access rights and restrictions) relating to each Access Control reader controlled by each IDT controller is transmitted to the latter.
Controllers are independent network units which ensure smooth system operation even where communication with the system software is disrupted for any reason or cause.
3. System software.
The Rosslare Access system software integrates all essential functionalities of a modern access control system. Designed to meet the needs of installations of any type or size, it offers great flexibility and integrates numerous parameters to meet the needs of each installation.
The system is constantly upgraded by its manufacturer, Rosslare, to meet ever-changing requirements. The system is extremely user-friendly.
The Rosslare Security software runs on Windows and uses the Microsoft SQL Server database.
Moreover, Rosslare Security can be automatically integrated with Atermon Time Manager, which is used by over 2,000 enterprises and organisations.
4. Proximity IDs in the form of cards or key tags.
The Rosslare access control system readers are fully compatible with the most broadly used RFID proximity IDs such as 125 Khz and Mifare.
The system software is installed on a Server together with all other software tools required in each installation.
The Access Control readers are installed on and connected to the electric door locks they are intended to control. The readers may also be connected directly to turnstiles, vehicle access barriers, security doors etc. They are also connected through cabling to the respective controllers.
The controllers are connected to the system software through a network.
The next step, after all hardware and software has been installed, is to enter in the system software the details of each member of the staff and the access rights and limitations applicable to each member of staff and each door controlled by the system, and to configure the software based on the needs of each installation. Once these tasks are completed, the system is ready for use.
Once the system is put to operation, access to all controlled spaces is only possible through authorised use of the Rosslare access system.
To enter the controlled premises, staff and visitors need to use their special proximity IDs with ot without a keyboard. Where this required by the nature of the installation, access may be also controlled by means of special biometric terminals, which offer top security standards in terms of human identification.
Every attempt to enter the premises controlled by the system is automatically checked by the respective IDT controller. If the person trying to enter has authorised access, the system unblocks the door or turnstile allowing the person to enter, and at the same time records this action in the Controller’s memory. In case of unauthorised access, the Access Control reader transmits an audiovisual signal indicating restricted entry and records the attempted entry in the controller’s memory, whereas the system may even transmit an alarm signal in various ways, if programmed accordingly.
The Rosslare access control system can be connected to CCTV systems, to ensure that every movement is also recorded by image or video recorders, which boosts the security level of the overall solution.
The Rosslare access control system can be integrated with Atermon Time Manager, offering an integrated Access Control and Time & Attendance Management solution where this is required.
Rosslare access is essential anywhere where access control is required. Some categories of establishments which could benefit from the system are:
- Office installations
- Archive facilities
- Computer Rooms
- Warehouses
- Laboratories
- Banks
- Hospitals
- Airports
- Ships
- Club houses
- Military installations
