It is designed to allow both occasional and regular clients to
guide their vehicles through the parking space inside the Station and retrieve them before exit.
The Equipment which can be used for Parking Operation and Management purposes consists of the following:
- Entry ticket dispenser and card reader devices
- Entrance units
- Entry/exit barriers
- Plate reading and recording system
- Induction loops
- Space availability signs
- Automatic payment machines
- Space availability signs
- Manually-operated cashier
- Intercom between entry/exit terminals – automatic cashiers and the control room
- Control room with all necessary equipment, software and devices
- Each driver entering the station obtains an entry ticket from the entry control terminals. Right before exit drivers must pay the applicable parking charges using the automatic payment machines and may exit the station using the exit control terminals.
- The system’s architecture relies on the terminals’ ability to communicate using an Ethernet protocol in line with modern technological developments. This offers system flexibility, consistency, high processing speeds and efficiency, as it allows for the integration and unification of several parking facilities.
It also allows for remote monitoring and remote troubleshooting intervention via WAN & VPN, ADSL or a dial up connection via ISDN.
The system integrates all equipment and software required under the Greek laws.
